Alessandro ist eine bekannte Marke sowie ein Trendsetter in der Nagel- und Handkosmetik und wird von der in Düsseldorf sitzenden alessandro International GmbH entwickelt. Zu den alessandro Produkten gehören neben Nagellacken in trendigen Farben Produkte für Nagelschutz und der Nagelpflege.
<h3>alessandro International: Die Marke einer starken Frau</h3>
Die Frau hinter der Marke alessandro heisst Silvia Troska. Sie entdeckte einst in den USA die Möglichkeiten des Nageldesigns und brachte Techniken und Produkte wie Gele, Feilen und Pinsel nach Deutschland in ihre Düsseldorfer Parfümerie.
Ob ihr bereits damals bewusst war, wie sehr sie Teile der Beauty-Szene in Deutschland und darüber hinaus prägen würde? Bei den Deutschen machte sie sich jedenfalls einen Namen als Vorreiterin im Naildesign. Man nennt sie dort bis heute manchmal Queen of Nails. Die von ihr angebotenen Produkte wurden schnell so erfolgreich, dass immer mehr Kosmetiksalons ihre Produkte verkaufen wollten. Mit ihrem Mann organisierte sie deshalb einen Grosshandel und Schulungen für Profis.
Nach dem Ende ihrer Ehe musste Silvia Troska jedoch weitgehend von vorne beginnen. Sie schaffte aber einen exzellenten Neuanfang. 1989 gründete sie in Langenfeld bei Düsseldorf die alessandro Cosmetics GmbH und bewies mit ihr reichlich Innovationskraft. So sah sie beispielsweise, dass die früher in künstlichen Nägeln enthaltenen Chemikalien den Naturnagel relativ stark angegriffen haben. Silvia Troska entwickelte deshalb einen säurefreien Kunststoff, gab ihm den Namen Soft Gel und erzielte damit einen wichtigen Durchbruch.
Soft Gel war das erste Produkt, das unter dem Markennamen alessandro vermarktet wurde. Und es war einer der Grundsteine des Markenerfolgs. 1998 war das Unternehmen von Silvia Troska Arbeitgeber für 61 Mitarbeiter. Es vertrieb über 1.500 Produkte „an mehr als 5.500 Kunden in 26 Ländern“, heisst es auf der Website alessandro-international.com.
Seit 2004 existiert die alessandro Academy zur Ausbildung von NaildesignerInnen und seit 2012 hält die Zwilling Beauty-Group eine Mehrheit am Unternehmen, das mittlerweile nicht mehr in Langenfeld, sondern in Düsseldorf sitzt.
