During the cold season, I am often plagued by dry patches of skin, even though I already use various skincare products such as toners, serums and special day and night moisturisers. Especially when I spend time in the mountains, I can feel my skin tightening during the day. And although drinking enough is certainly helpful, I looked for - and found - additional support. I now treat my skin to an intensive moisturising night mask every night before I go to bed.
What is the difference between an intensive night care mask and a night cream?
Night care such as creams and serums are usually applied before going to bed to nourish the skin and care for it overnight. They moisturise and soothe the skin and can treat specific skin problems.
Night care masks, on the other hand, offer more intensive care. These are applied before going to bed, remain on the skin all night and are washed off in the morning. They revitalise and provide particularly deep moisture. With additional active ingredients, they support the regeneration and repair of the skin overnight.
