Straight hair: The different methods

Many people long for straight hair. To get beautiful straight hair, there are several methods to choose from. From straightening irons, permanent straightening or straightening products, there are many ways to get your hair straight. We'll introduce you to all the options and show you which one is best for you.

Everyone has different hair: straight, wavy or curly. Often you are not satisfied with your natural hair texture. Good technologies make it possible to have straight hair in different ways.

There are various methods for the short-term straightening of hair until the next shampoo. The application and results of the three best-known variants are relatively different, but they have one thing in common: as soon as the hair comes into contact with moisture, the straightened hair becomes wavy again. It is important to note that this straightening with heat can damage the hair in the long run. Therefore, always use a heat protector.

We are all familiar with the classic straightening iron. The hair can be straightened wonderfully with it and thanks to the latest technologies, the hair is no longer damaged too badly.

Other Hair straightener

Straightening brushes are innovative hair styling tools that have become a popular must-have for people with curly or frizzy hair in recent years. These brushes are designed to tame unruly hair and transform it into beautifully straight and shiny hair. You'll also usually be done faster with the straightening brush than with a traditional straightening iron.

Our favourite straightening brush is the Glide Hot Brush from ghd. The Hot Brush tames and straightens hair in minutes. Thanks to the ceramic heating technology, an optimal temperature of 185°C is guaranteed, which does not damage the hair.

A product with very good results is the Infusion of Keratin Complex, the keratin treatment for the home! The keratin is welded into the hair with a straightening iron and so the hair becomes smoother and smoother in the long run - even without a straightening iron. There are also shampoos and masks with keratin that straighten the hair while washing it. Blow-dry lotions and hair oils with a smoothing effect are also good.

Permanent hair straightening is the reverse process of perming and straightens the hair for at least 3-6 months. The treatment is performed in the salon and takes between two and four hours, depending on the density and length of the hair. In order to continue to have healthy hair, we do not recommend permanent hair straightening for blond or very damaged hair.
